The Detach app helps users take control of their smartphone use by gamifying the the time tracking process.

There are plenty of similar apps out there with very technical visual brands. Detach wanted to stand out with a whimsical and edgy style. Dario and I came to their rescue!
Original designs featured humans fighting against smartphone distractions. We thought of including a raccoon as a mischievous character causing chaos, and the client liked them so much that they began to take center stage until they became the main characters of the brand.

Finally after some iterations we embraced the raccoons fully and even added them to the logo!
